History
Taia is a recent graduate of Flinders University, completing her Bachelor of Media Arts in 2020, and Honours Degree in Media & Enterprise in 2021.
During her time at Uni, she worked across a range of different roles from director/producer to editor, along with assisting her peers in any spots that needed to be filled within their projects. Through a wide range of projects including short documentaries, music videos, short dramas and more, she found her passion for shooting and editing content in a fun and creative way, with a keen eye for composition.
Before her University journey, Taia began working on live productions in high school, stage managing the school musical, Little Shop of Horrors. From there, she went on to study Live Production & Technical Services at Adelaide College of the Arts. Her first musical outside of school was with Marie Clarke’s production of Jekyll & Hyde in 2017 where she was part of the staging crew and absolutely loved it.
From there, she joined the team at Mind Body Spirit Festival in 2018 as an AV Technician, and quickly worked her way up to AV Crew Producer handling all of the bookings and organisation for her team. Getting the opportunity to travel around Australia for work has given Taia a world of knowledge and experience that she values greatly.
Her most recent production was working with South Australian Playwrights Theatre on their production of The Deep North. Beginning this journey as part of University placement, she stuck with the team all the way through to the 2021 Adelaide Fringe season as Assistant Producer & Lighting Operator, then had the opportunity to hit the road for a South Australian regional tour, where she filled the roles of Stage & Technical Manager.
